The owner of the Milton Flea Market hopes to clean up the debris from a September 10 fire and reopen a portion of the operation for the weekend of September 27.

Beth Williamson is the daughter of owner Boyd Meadows. She says vendors would be able to use the market's outdoor booths, which were spared by the fire. The indoor complex was destroyed.

Williamson says her father hopes to have a new indoor facility open by April 1.

The flea market had 300 booths run by 130 vendors and drew an estimated 10,000 visitors each weekend.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.

There were no injuries, but vendors, many of them uninsured, lost thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
