A soldier from Virginia is the latest casualty in the war in Iraq.
The Department of Defense has released the names of six soldiers killed when their UH60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed in central Iraq on Wednesday.
Among the dead is 29-year-old Captain James Adamouski of Springfield.
The crew was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia.
The Pentagon says the crash is still under investigation. Adamouski's father, Frank Adamouski of Springfield, says the family is sending out a statement later today about his son's death.
The elder Adamouski, a Vietnam veteran, says the family was nervous about their son going to Iraq. He says, "Who wouldn't be nervous? You do not do something like that and not feel nervous."
