A doctor in Luray has pleaded guilty to using federal grant money to pay off his mortgage and personal credit cards bills.

Doctor Francis George pleaded guilty today in Harrisonburg.

Prosecutors say George received a $327,000 grant to renovate his office building.

Instead, they say, he used the money for personal expenses, and to pay for his child's college tuition.

George faces up to 23 years in prison.
