Flu season is just around the corner and if you remember, last year's season definitely dragged on, so maybe getting the shot should be on your list this year.
Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, West Virginia started offering the flu vaccine Wednesday. The hospital will administer shots to employees in the middle of this month.
The Central Shenandoah Health District is also offering the shots at this time.
Meanwhile, both Waynesboro Pediatrics and Page Memorial Hospital will be offering shots in two weeks.
It's important to note that flu shots are recommended for all kids under 18 years old and the elderly.
They can cost you, so be sure to check with your health care provider when you set up an appointment to get the flu vaccine.
Aside from the flu shot, most doctors say not too much is going around.
However, Dr. Steven Mumbauer with Waynesboro Pediatrics is reporting a lot of colds and sore throats. He has also treated several children with MRSA Cellulitis and asthma flare-ups.
