Two brothers have been sentenced for their roles in the 2002 death of a woman who was found beaten and strangled in a secluded area of Cabell County.

Cabell County Circuit Judge John Cummings sentenced 28-year-old Phillip Scott Barnett to 40 years in prison Friday. Twenty-five-year-old Nathaniel Todd Barnett was sentenced to 36 years in prison. Each will be eligible for parole in ten years.

A Cabell County jury convicted the brothers of second-degree murder in August.

They are among four people convicted in the death of 21-year-old Deanna L. Crawford of Huntington. Crawford's decomposing body was found in a secluded area of Salt Rock in August of 2002.
