If you're thinking about doing some shopping to make your home more energy efficient, you may want to hold off another week.

The state's second annual energy sales tax holiday will begin a week from Friday.

You can purchase items with the energy star or water sense certification label, that cost $2,500 or less, without having to pay sales tax.

These products include everything from compact fluorescent light bulbs, to dishwashers. One local store say it had a very good response last year.

"Customers were buying all kinds of appliances, insulated windows, the compact fluorescent light bulbs. They really took advantage of the sales. This year we're hoping it's going to be bigger than last year," says Lowe's Administrative Store Manager Sheri Sheetz.

During last year's tax holiday, people in Virginia saved more than $160,000.
