A former Front Royal police officer was indicted Monday for allegedly firing a gun at members of his family.
James Douglas Striker is accused of brandishing a firearm at his son and his son's fiancee in mid-July and his trial is set for December 8.
James was convicted in August of reckless handling of a firearm, but he has appealed that conviction.
His wife, Cathy Sue Striker, was also indicted and charged with attempted malicious wounding of her husband in July.
James is currently free on a $1,000 bond.
