Students at Turner Ashby High School are busy signing their prom promises to stay sober after this year's celebration. In one day, the school got the pledges of more than a 100 students, but coordinators say they hope hundreds more will sign.
Parents and students are also preparing for their after prom party. It's an all-night, drug-free alternative to drinking.
Natalie Pierce, is the student spokesperson for the After Prom Party Committee. She says, "It definitely keeps kids in school, in a safe environment where you can still have fun. There's so much to do there."
The fun and games include rock climbing, bull riding and a dunking booth.
