The Board hasn't made a definite decision. But it's leaning toward keeping its current plan with kindergarten through fourth grade elementary schools, a fifth and sixth grade school and a seventh and eighth grade school.
As this is Plan B, the board will find out what it'll cost to hold off on building the new school over the next several years.
"What is your alternative plan that provides for no new building? And the answer to that is no plan," exclaimed Cathy Slusher, Board Member. "There is no good plan that provides for that unless we want to totally undo the quality of education."
One council member disagrees. Gary Wilson believes the plan that includes a fourth and fifth grade school could still work. He believes city council is looking for an option with no new school.
