The search continues Monday for a missing fisherman believed to have drowned after his boat capsized in the Shenandoah River.
Thirty-three-year-old Bobbie Williams Junior of Linden disappeared Thursday afternoon after the johnboat he was fishing in with his wife, Donna, tipped over near the Clarke County-Warren County line.
Although the couple had life jackets in the boat, only Donna Williams was able to reach one of the devices when the boat overturned. She floated to the riverbank and called for help, and a fisherman rescued her.
Julia Dixon Smith with the state Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says that stormy weather hampered weekend rescue efforts were hampered by stormy weather.
Smith said the accident is still under investigation. The cause of the capsize is unknown.
