A man charged with armed robberies across the Valley has waived his right to a speedy trial.

Brian Brubaker was indicted in August for allegedly robbing the Cracker Barrel and Tractor Supply stores in Harrisonburg.

A grand jury ordered a mental health exam to determine if he can plead insanity and stand trial. That exam will take another 45 days to complete.

Brubaker is scheduled to appear before a Rockingham County court again December 11.
