A Florida helicopter pilot who pleaded guilty to reckless flying during the 2007 Peanut Fest in Suffolk will spend two months in jail.

Ronald John Davis Jr. of Naples, Florida, was sentenced Thursday. As part of a plea agreement, Davis received four years in prison for child neglect and a year for reckless flying, with all but two months suspended. He is forbidden to fly for five years.

Davis operated Good Time Helicopters, offering flights during the October 2007 festival. He was arrested after a parent complained that he was flying erratically. Davis' blood alcohol test registered .07 a few hours after the flights, above the legal limit of .04 for flying.
