For some people, Thanksgiving is more than a time to get together with family and friends. It's much more than cooking and baking.

Instead, they're planning for a long day of shopping Friday and are mapping their route.

Some people are heading off to sleep soon. It's not because of food coma, but they have to get up early Friday to wait in lines until the stores open on Black Friday.

Target and J.C. Penny employees have been spending the past few days getting ready for one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

Some stores, like Target, even offer maps of the deals and where they are located inside the store.

J.C. Penny is offering free breakfast for the first 100 or so customers. Also, free Disney snow globes will be handed out.

Target opens at 6 a.m. on Black Friday and J.C. Penny's Doorbusters sales begin at 4 a.m.

If you're planning to get a Wii or a $49 Leather Coat, be sure to wait in line!

WOW!!! How greatly disappointing I was to arrive at Kmart and AGAIN this year find NOTHING, AGAIN!! My friend and I had a tag shopping team effort going she was there before the doors opened and I got there 15 minutes after when she walked straight to the toys for "our" special buy not one/1 "tommy blaster" was on the shelf. I believe this store as well as some other's use these "sucker" advertisements to gain your $ however they don't have the item properly stocked nor shelved. Maybe they also need to put a LIMIT on such GOOD BUYS so the rest of us early-bird shoppers would have a fair shot at it too!!!
