Staunton's Fairview Cemetery is getting a makeover. With the help of a grant from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, members of the 'Friends of Fairview' group put in two new, custom made concrete entrance posts.

The posts are reproductions of the original posts that are crumbling and include a flower a logo and the word 'Fairview,'

People from the 'Friends of Fairview Cemetery' say it's a very exciting day.

Staunton resident Louisa Dixon says, "It's very exciting because it's going to make a big difference about the entrance to Fairview. The name will be there and a lot of different people have been working on this over the years and so it's really nice to see it finished."

They're also crafting a new stone wall at the cemetery that will match the style of the new posts.
