Sheriff's Deputies in Augusta County say a five gallon jar filled with 30,000 pennies was stolen from a shed in Lyndhurst on December 5. Deputies say the shed was locked, but the lock was cut.

In Toms Brook, sheriff's deputies say someone stole some Christmas cheer. Two homemade wooden reindeer were taken from the yard of a home on Country Brook Road. The decorations went missing December 4.

Deputies in Shenandoah County are also trying to locate several stolen guns. Two shotguns were reported stolen from a home in Strasburg late last week and three firearms were taken from a home in Maurertown around the same time. One of those guns was a shotgun, but the other two were rifles. The stolen weapons are worth $1,300.

Deputies in Rockingham County say someone in Elkton received at least ten threatening phone calls over the Thanksgiving holiday. The caller allegedly threatened to kill a member of the family, and deputies say the threats centered around differences in political opinions.

Harrisonburg Police are dealing with a string of thefts from vehicles. In the past six days, at least four have been reported at various spots in the city. The thieves took everything from a laptop to cash that had been left inside the cars.

Staunton Police are reporting a stolen Playstation 3 video game system. It was taken from a home on Hoover Street Saturday night.
