The event wrapped up at Wilson High School. More than three thousand people were on hand for the walk.
The money raised goes to cancer research and programs. Though the grounds were soggy, the enthusiasm was strong.
"We always say that cancer doesn't stop for the weather. So we're out here standing in solidarity with cancer victims and cancer survivors...rain, shine and snow," said Race Organizer Wendy Osinkosky.
The group hopes to raise $325,000.
