The Winchester area has landed another business.
DirecTV has purchased a site in the Coca-Cola Industrial Park in Kernstown and is building a 5,000-square foot operations center. It's expected to open this fall but there's no word on how many jobs it will create.
Patrick Barker with the Winchester-Frederick County Economic Development Commission says the center will beam television signals up to a satellite. The signals will then be beamed back down to DirecTV customers.
