REPLY TO BOB's COMMENT: You have some nerve ~ how do you sleep at night making such comments in regards to a woman that has lost her life. Why don't have you a comment on here saying "YOU DO NOT DRIVE DRUNK, YOU DO NOT LEAVE THE SCENE WHEN YOU HIT SOMEONE, YOU DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!" You are a shallow human and I have to agree with Tommy (Mrs. Anderson's brother) I hope you never go through something like this within your lifetime.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Anderson and Burcham families. Sherry was a friend during our elementary and Junior High years. Our class, many of us together for twelve years, will miss her.

I was friends with Sherry at CHJHS and CHHS. I enjoyed catching up with her at past class reunions. She was a very sweet, fun person to be around. What sad news this has been. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

My prayers go out to the Anderson family. My children went to school with her children when we lived in Harrisonburg. Sherry was always so involved in the community. I can remember the dad giving the kids rides to school on his moped. I pray the driver will do the right thing and come forward.

I can't imagine how devastated the Anderson family must be. Hopefully this cowardly person will have a conscience and turn his or herself in so the family can have some sort of closer (if at all possible). My thoughts and prayers are with the Andersons.

Sherry is my only sister. My family is suffering a great loss as she will be deeply missed. Thank everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers during this horrible event that we have been faced to deal with today. Sherry leaves behind a husband, four children, loving parents, and four deeply saddened brothers. Sherry is a kind, loving soul with a heart of gold. As for Bob....I belive others have posted my very thoughts; the viewers have said it all. It's very sad too, that Bob is so very shallow with his posting. With that being said...I certainly hope that Bob never faces a tragity such as this. Again, thank you all from the Anderson & Burcham families for your thoughts and prayers ..... For those that knew Sherry...you know exactly what I'm speaking of; for those people that were never afforded to opportunity to know Sherry; you missed out on a very special "lady".

I didn't know this lady but my heart goes out to her family and also to the people jogging with her. I can't imagine the horror of seeing a friend/family member hit and killed . I hope the responsible party will come to there senses and come forward. My heart also goes out to them - I can't imagine how they felt and being frightened enough to leave. What a horrible tragedy for everyone.

I am a recent HHS alumni and was a proud member of the HHS Marching Band. Sherry was a wonderful person, very caring and supportive. I can't believe something like this has happened. My prayers go out to the whole family and hope the person who did this is brought to justice.
