The Harrisonburg Police Department says it has made an arrest following a fatal hit-and-run accident.
Fifty-five-year-old Sherry Anderson was killed while out jogging early Tuesday morning.
Tuesday evening, police found the vehicle involved in the accident. After finding the vehicle, they were able to identify and locate the suspect.
Twenty-four-year-old Bethany Jones of Harrisonburg was arrested around 9 p.m. Jones has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.
“This has been a tragic day for the community and our thoughts are certainly with the victim’s family,” says Mary-Hope Gangwer, Public Information Officer.
While the investigation into this crash is still ongoing, court records show Jones was arrested in June 2007 for a DUI.
According to her Facebook page, she commonly goes by the nickname Bess and she graduated from JMU in 2006.
Jones also works at The Pub in Harrisonburg, but the restaurant is not commenting at this time.
If anyone has any additional information, they are asked to call Crime Solvers at 540-574-5050.

How long is VABC going to allow The Pub to operate outside the laws of this state. Well we now have a death by the hands of a bartender drinking after ours. Not to mention their liscense is currently under suspension for after hours drinking. Way to go VABC its time for new ownership and management at that location
The only thing i have to say is if you were drunk witch way would you go home to south ave from the pub just think about it
