The government is taking some dramatic security measures to prepare for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama, including one that could shut out Virginians.
The Secret Service announced Wednesday that no personal vehicles will be allowed to pass from Virginia into Washington D.C. the morning of the Inauguration, January 20.
Only buses, taxis, and emergency vehicles will be let through. Drivers hoping to get in the city will need to enter from Maryland.
