In his town hall meeting in downtown Harrisonburg Thursday morning, former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe discussed several topics including his thoughts on Gov. Tim Kaine's appointment as the new Democratic National Committee Chairman.
Kaine has been criticized by some who feel he won't be able to effectively serve the state while being the DNC Chairman part time.
McAuliffe says not only can Kaine do it, but he'll do it well.
He says, "He has said that his number one function is to make sure that everything is done here in Virginia, and he's going to do it part time obviously. What I see Tim doing at this point is going on television, promoting President Obama's job and his infrastructure programs, and think he'll be great at it."
