Police confirmed Friday that the alleged kidnapping incident at Kroger on Arch Avenue in Waynesboro Thursday was a hoax.

Police confirmed Friday that the alleged kidnapping incident at Kroger on Arch Avenue in Waynesboro Thursday was a hoax.

Sgt. Kelly Walker said three teenagers were playing around and witnesses assumed it was a kidnapping in progress.

No charges are being pressed.
