Lowell Fulk is running against incumbent Glenn Weatherholtz for the 26th District seat. Fulk says his campaign money is coming from local supporters. But he says Weatherholtz's war chest is being stocked from far away.
Weatherholtz admits a lot of his money comes from Political Action Committees based outside the area, but he says those groups are made up of people from the district.
"Homeowners and hospital associations, all these local people belong to those PAC's and they say, hey, Glenn Weatherholtz is doing a pretty good job for us," explains Weatherholtz.
He leads Fulk in total dollars raised, about $17,000 to $14,500. For a better look at how money is spent in Virginia politics, log on to www.vpap.org
