She's served the state for nearly a year, and now her reign is coming to an end.
Miss Virginia, Jennifer Pitts, was in Harrisonburg Tuesday.
Pitts decided to enter the pageant scene after her parents told her they couldn't pay for her college education. She's now won over $45,000 in scholarships, and she'll soon be a lawyer.
Pitts has also traveled more than 4,000 miles a month as Miss Virginia. She's the first Miss Virginia to visit all 95 counties in the state during her reign.
Pitts will give up her crown on June 28, when the new Miss Virginia is named. You can watch the pageant here on TV-3.
