A new hearing date for the Pub and the Alcoholic Beverage Control of Virginia. ABC is taking action against the Pub's license after a deadly hit-and-run accident killed a jogger.

The administrative hearing through ABC to take action against the Pub's license will be held February 25 at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

There are two charges against The Pub. According to the ABC, on January 6, the licensee (The Pub) permitted the consumption of alcoholic beverages upon the licensed premises between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., violating a Virginia law.

They also say the Pub failed or refused to comply with a condition of restriction of the license, which has yet to be named.

Bethany "Bess" Jones is accused of the hit-and-run accident that killed 55-year-old Sherry Anderson of Harrisonburg January 6.

Twenty-four-year-old Jones was arrested later in the day of the fatal wreck that happened on South Main Street near Port Republic Road.

Jones admitted to drinking after hours at the Pub, where she worked as a bartender.

She also stated that she was drinking after hours at Finnigans Cove, although that restaurant has not been charged.

maybe bill should go back to selling used cars, or door to door vacuum cleaner salesperson, seems that would be a good fit for him once his business goes under, the pub is a cess pool, time for it be gone for good!!

i think that the girl who wrecked and killed that lady while drinking and driving should be held responsable. i'm sorry but she made the choice to get in her vehicle and drive. one drink or twenty no one should drink and drive. i have a child and family and i would be deviststed if any of them were killed by a drunk driver. she should have thought about that before she got in that vehicle. it's not to hard dto call a cab or give your keys to someone.

I AGREE WITH UNHAPPY CITIZEN 120% THAT IS SO RIGHT. THEY DO MORE BUSINESS THAN ANY CLUB OR BAR IN TOWN. NO OTHER BAR HAS BEEN HARRASSED LIKE THIS ONE. THEY HAVE BEEN HARRASSED FOR YEARS DO THE YOUNGER CROWD THEY DRAW IN AND THE AMOUNT OF BUSINESS THEY DO. FINNIGAN'S SHOULD GO DOWN WITH THEM TOO IF THAT'S THE CASE, YOU HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD A WORD ABOUT FINNIGAN'S. Y NOT? SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THEY ARE JUST AS MUCH AT FAUGHT, AS EVERYONE THINKS THE PUB IS.
