It happened first in Greenville and then in Palmyra. Augusta and Fluvanna county deputies are teaming up to solve two similar armed robberies.
Lt. David Wells, from the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office, says, "There's an obvious similarity in appearance between the two suspects."
After checking out surveillance images from their suspect in the BB&T in Palmyra, Wells says it may be the same person that got away with thousands of dollars in Greenville last Friday.
He adds, "It is a description. So we can work it from there, and see what kind of matches we can come up with."
While the description of the car and the images of the two suspects are key factors in the investigation, Wells says they are still moving forward with the help from Augusta County.
Wells says, "We're optimistic. We still have several leads. It's still pretty early on in the investigation. We have some leads to track down and we have some evidence, or items, that I can't discuss that we are looking into."
Another key similarity in the two crimes is that they are both at BB&T banks. It's just one more reason deputies in both areas think they're dealing with the same suspect.
