The Augusta County Sheriff's Office says there are similarities between two recent bank robberies.

The BB&T in Greenville was robbed last Friday. The three tellers who were working at the time were forced into a bathroom while $6,500 was taken.

Then on Tuesday, a BB&T in Palmyra was robbed.

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is working with the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office, talking about the similarities of the person in the surveillance photos.

"Their stature, their build, seems to be a slender, tall person. Approximately six feet, six one. That person also had on white shoes, in both incidents the person is wearing gloves," says lead investigator George Cox.

If you have any information you are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-322-2017.
