Twenty-six men have been arrested on 34 charges including indecent exposure, sodomy and assault. Police received several calls from worried citizens about the behavior at Harrisonburg Adult News.
At a press conference, Commonwealth Attorney Marsha Garst said the incidents were all between men and they all happened inside the store in a public area.
"Some individuals even went into the shop thinking it was a place perhaps to buy newspapers or something in that regard and then became concerned and contacted either the commonwealth attorney or the Harrisonburg Police Department when they were surprised by the nature of the business being conducted on site," said Garst.
Criminal charges could be pending for the manager of the store. Even though these are misdemeanor charges, Garst felt it was necessary to get this information out in the public so everyone would know their calls to police matter.
