Prosecutors say a Prince William County woman has been indicted in the death of her 13-year-old adopted daughter, whose body was found in a shallow creek.

Forty-four-year-old Alfreedia Gregg-Glover of the Manassas area has been indicted on first-degree murder, felony murder, felony child abuse and filing a false police report. Authorities announced the indictments on Tuesday.

Police say Gregg-Glover lied when she told them her daughter, Alexis "Lexie" Agyepong-Glover, had run away in January. A massive search ensued.

The girl's body was found two days later in a Woodbridge area creek. An autopsy determined she died from drowning and exposure to the cold. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
