Thousands streamed through Goodwill's doors on South Main Street in Harrisonburg Wednesday.
Goodwill said it hopes to collaborate with other charitable organizations in the area to better serve the public. It also wants to provide jobs and workforce training for the community.
The store offers top quality new and used items, some selling for a fifth of their original cost. Donations are gladly accepted.
Goodwill plans to also open shop in Staunton and Waynesboro by the end of this year.
