A Florida couple charged with killing a man and fleeing to Virginia is awaiting extradition.

Forty-three-year-old George Parker and 45-year-old Jane Owens were arrested Friday in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Winchester. Parker was charged with killing Owens' ex-boyfriend, 50-year-old Kenneth Givens. Owens is charged with being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

Both are being held without bail at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.

A hunter found Givens' partially decomposed body on September 26.

Investigators say Parker confessed to Virginia police that he killed Givens because he had tried to force himself on Owens. Parker said he stabbed Givens with two steak knives and stomped on his face, then dumped his body in the woods.

Investigators say the couple fled to Virginia where they lived out of Owens' car and hotels with Owens' six-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. The children were turned over to family friends in Virginia.
