The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors is not planning to change the tax rate.

The county presented its proposed budget Wednesday night to get public feedback.

To avoid a tax rate increase, the county is considering cuts. One thing on the chopping block is the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.

Some residents said that step could be too drastic.

The board plans to make a decision on the budget next Wednesday.
