The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors has approved its budget for next year and it does not call for an increase in taxes.

The board also approved an amendment to the current budget that gives funds for the new River Bend Elementary School and the East Rockingham High School.

Board members says this budget was difficult to put together. Supervisors have worked on it for several months.

Decisions to give assistance to organizations are still on the table.
