State Police say they have arrested their suspect from a hit-and-run late Wednesday night, but now they are looking for a second suspect.

Police arrested Rogelio Martinez on Norwood Street in Harrisonburg Thursday afternoon. He has been charged with obstruction of justice and allowing an unlicensed person to drive his car.

Martinez was thought to be responsible for Wednesday's head-on collision, but police are now looking for Jose Hernandez, who they now believe was the man behind the wheel.

Police say the crash happened at 11 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Valley Road and Cecil Wampler Road in Rockingham County.

The driver of the other car, Daniel Van Pelt, was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center. Police say Van Pelt has two broken arms and injuries to his legs.

Police describe Hernandez as a Hispanic man with red hair. He may also go by the name "Tango" and likely has a visible head injury.

If you have any information on Hernandez's whereabouts, you are asked to call 540-434-8593.

What ever happened to an honest, accidental car wreck? It is hard enough for people to understand why someone would rink behind the wheel but to escape from the scene makes it ten times harder.

Is there not something that can be done to eliminate the many hit and run accidents we see from hispanics? Chances are, if a driver flees the scene he is spanish. And today we have yet another innocent victim. Thankfully he will recover. I like to think Rogilio is suffering from a massive headache!

Daniel is an extremely close friend of mine since elementary school and to see this happen is extraordinary. I got to visit him this morning at RMH before he was sent to UVA and he seemed in good spirits. Joking and smiling about, he was very much himself and I'm so glad he survived out of this mess. This could've ended his life and to have last seen him leave Ihop from our usual Wednesday dinner group of friends, it could've been the last. I pray for him, his family and everyone close to him.
