Luis Padilla says he was fired from Cargill for expressing his opinion about the proposed marriage amendment.
Senator Mark Obenshain sent the company letter with the hope that Padilla be reinstated.
Obenshain told TV-3 that he didn't think someone should lose a job over a bumper sticker. "I sent the letter because I can't imagine that what happened with Mr. Padilla is really reflective of the corporate philosophy of Cargill. I just hope that Cargill will reconsider his position and admit that it made a mistake and re-instate the man."
Obenshain says that this case is about someone who probably didn't share the same values as Padilla and wanted revenge because of it thus getting him fired.
