Some would say volunteering at Ground Zero would automatically make you a hero, but to two members of the Waynesboro Rescue Squad, they were just answering the call.
Wednesday night, John Greene and Glenn Shaw were honored by Delegate Steve Landes for volunteering at the Ground Zero recovery efforts in September.
"It's nice to be honored, but we were just serving our country,” commented Shaw. "We did what we felt had to be done."
During their three day stay in New York, the crew is credited with assisting in a live recovery of a FDNY firefighter.
