Some farmers need to take steps to make sure they don't lose money with the impending frost Monday night.

Gary Hilbert of Hilbert's Pick-Year-Own Strawberry Farm, Spring Creek, has a thermometer alarm ready to wake him early Tuesday morning in case temperatures drop below 37 degrees Fahrenheit.

He's preparing himself to stay up all night running water over his berries. Frozen water insulates the berries, protecting them from frost.

"I'm worried. A lot of other people are worried. It's just like garden stuff. Your stuff is out and you got these berries and it's always something to worry about. Big concern," says Hilbert.
