The men and women who protect you are getting some help from the federal government.

Hose Company Number Four, Rockingham County's oldest fire company, has been awarded more than $60,000 from FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The money will help purchase a thermal imaging camera, which is used in search and rescue missions, pagers that allow the volunteers to pick up information from the dispatcher, and new protective gear.
