A national catfish tournament is coming to Morgantown.

Cabela's King Kat Tournament offers catfish anglers the chance to win cash and prizes, and to move on to compete in the King Kat Classic in Sheffield, Alabama.

Entry fees for the qualifier tournaments are $200.

Fishing starts at 6:30 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m. on June 13, with weigh-in at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheater.

To help preserve the sport, only live fish will be weighed, and all fish will be released after the tournament.

The top 20 teams at each qualifying event are eligible for the Alabama event.

Cabela's also is sponsoring a free fishing rodeo at Dixon Lake for kids 12 and younger.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
