Water systems in Marshall and Roane counties will receive upgrades courtesy of federal economic stimulus money.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Thursday the funding of nearly $143 million for drinking water, wastewater and environmental projects in 21 states.

The city of Glen Dale will receive about $1.7 million to upgrade its water system. The Clover Public Service District in Spencer will receive $1.9 million to provide safe drinking water to 75 households that currently rely on wells or cisterns.

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
