Augusta County deputies say someone vandalized a business using a gun. It happened Saturday at the Village Green Florist in Stuarts Draft. Deputies say someone shot out the windows and a glass door from the road.
Deputies in Shenandoah County are reporting some vandalism as well. They say several mailboxes were damaged in Strasburg over the weekend. The mailboxes were hit along Millner, Copp, and Clary roads.
Staunton Police are reporting a large stolen piece of construction equipment. A backhoe was taken from a construction site on Seth Drive over the weekend. It is worth $26,000. No keys were left in the vehicle, so the owner believes it was loaded up and hauled away.
Deputies in Rockingham County are reporting a theft of some other large equipment. A generator, a ladder and an air compressor were taken from a home on Spaders Church Road over the weekend. The items are worth a total of nearly $2,500.
There are stolen tools in Page County as well. Deputies say a chain saw, a leaf blower, and other equipment were stolen from a home on Highway 340 Business West in Stanley on Friday.
There is a business break-in reported in Harrisonburg. Police say someone stole two CD players and some money from J&A Auto on North Liberty Street over the weekend. This is the third break-in at J&A this year.
If you have any information about these cases, please call your local sheriff's office or police department.
