The Valley Deputies in Page County say someone stole more than a ton of rebar from a bridge construction site.

Deputies in Page County say several pieces of rebar, weighing more than a ton, were stolen from a bridge construction site near the town of Shenandoah this week. The rebar is worth $2,300. It was being used to repair a bridge that had washed away at Catherine Furnace.
Augusta County deputies say a gun was stolen from a grocery store in Lyndhurst. The pistol was taken from B&R Grocery last Friday.
Deputies in Augusta County are also investigating some vandalism at a retirement center in Fishersville. Deputies say three vehicles at Birch Gardens had their windows broken and purses stolen from inside. The stolen items are worth several hundred dollars.
Harrisonburg Police are reporting several stolen bicycles. They say one bike was taken from Sunchase Court and two were stolen from Franklin Street in the past week.
Staunton Police say someone took a Ford F350 truck from a home one West Beverley Street on Sunday. The truck is worth $5,500.
Deputies in Shenandoah county say some property belonging to the Virginia Department of Transportation was shot with a gun. Deputies say a safety mirror that is used to show blind spots around dangerous intersections appeared to have bullet holes in it last Friday. The damaged mirror was found at the corner of Back Road and Union Church Road, near Woodstock.
Waynesboro Police say a resident on Robin Road came home Monday to find her house in disarray and several things stolen. The burglar took a flat-screen TV, Playstation 2, DVD player, two diamond rings, an air conditioning unit, a computer, and some credit cards. The items are worth a total of more than $3,000.
