Waynesboro Exxon Accident

Crews will spend the day cleaning up after a gas pump is knocked over by a car in Waynesboro.

Police say an 85 year old man backed a rental truck into a white car, which pushed the gas pump over.

It happened at the Exxon on Rosser Avenue last night.

The rental truck driver says his brakes weren't working but police say they didn't find anything wrong with the truck.

Gas station workers say a valve closed off the gas flow once the pump was hit, preventing a gas spill.

Police say the man driving the rental truck will be charged with reckless driving.
