Grand Jury to Hear Waynesboro Subway Embezzlement Case

A grand jury is set to hear the case of a woman accused of stealing almost $50,000 from her employer.

Thirty-nine-year-old Rebecca Lawson is charged with four counts of embezzlement.

Police say she stole $49,000 from the Waynesboro Subway on West Main Street between May 2007 and January 2009.

The Staunton resident is free on bond.

A grand jury will hear the case next month.
