Deputies in Rockingham County say someone left their car unlocked at the Valley Land Hardware store parking lot in Fulks Run Friday, and the car had $9,600 in cash inside. That cash was stolen along with some check books.
Also in Rockingham County, deputies have made an arrest in an arson investigation. They say Michael Majors intentionally set fire to a balcony at the Tannery Apartments in Elkton Friday night.
Harrisonburg Police are reporting more vandalism. They say someone slashed the tires of two vehicles, broke a fence and damaged a gutter on Deyerle Avenue last week.
State Police are looking for a stolen truck. They say a 1991 white Dodge Dakota was taken from Route 340 in Elkton last week.
Augusta County Deputies are reporting two stolen diamond rings, worth a total of $8,800. They were taken from a jewelry box in a home on Enchanted View Circle in Fishersville.
Deputies in Shenandoah County are looking for a suspect accused of breaking into several trailers over the weekend. The break-ins happened at Cheap Storage in New Market.
The property owner says he saw a suspect driving away in a large, white SUV, with a license plate that started with the letters "LIL." The suspect is described as a white man, about six feet tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds.
Staunton Police are investigating a dog owner following a reported animal attack on Norwood Road. A resident reported Sunday that a pit bull got off its property and attacked two other dogs.
