It's the Berkeley of the East.
James Madison University was recently rated the sixth-most activist campus in the country, according to Mother Jones Magazine.
JMU made the list because of student opposition to the school's decision to ban distribution of an emergency contraceptive pill on campus.
Topping the list was the University of Tehran in Iran. The University of California at Berkeley was also on the list.
