About 20-organizations, including the American Farm Bureau Federation and the National Farmers Union, sent a letter to all Senators.
They hope their united front will lead to a quick passage.
The bill would appropriate $5 billion to the farmers through natural disaster funds. But the White House has opposed the new legislation, saying all money should come from the current farm bill.
