The Augusta County Library is closer to getting a new look.

The board of supervisors voted four-to-three Wednesday night to move forward with a renovation that will give the building a new entrance, new carpet, and updated heating and cooling.

The board's vote will open up the project for construction bids.

Architects have estimated the project to cost more than $2 million.

The supervisors say they will not need to borrow money to pay for the project.
