School officials want to know what was in a homemade concoction a 17-year-old special education student brought with him to school in Rockingham County.
Officials are awaiting test results to determine if disciplinary action is warranted against the student.
The student showed the liquid mixture to his chemistry teacher at Spotswood High School before class on Sept. 18. The teacher notified authorities.
Students had not arrived at school at the time of the incident, and NO one was hurt.
The state forensics lab is examining the mixture's chemical composition.
The Rockingham County Schools superintendent says the student would NOT be subject to the full disciplinary process.
But Principal Adam Burket says officials will decide after the results are back if the student's actions were related to his condition.
