The Augusta County SPCA wants to cut down on the number of dogs and cats that have to be put to sleep.
Starting Aug. 1, it will provide financial assistance, for spay and neuter surgeries, to pet owners who meet income eligibility requirements.
The surgery is performed at no cost, but if your pet is pregnant or in heat there is a cost.
If you would like more information on the program you can contact the SPCA at 885 - 7722.
